Commercial State Bank is pleased to announce Justin Rock as our newest commercial lender, vice president. In his position, Justin will manage and grow a portfolio of small- to mid-sized businesses serviced by the bank.
A McAllen, Texas native, Justin obtained his bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from Sam Houston State University. In 2011, he earned his master’s degree, also in finance and banking, from the same university. He joins our company with four and-a-half years of experience, including time as a credit analyst and SBA loan officer.
Justin described the transition to his new role as a seamless one.
“Everybody has been very helpful, as far as introducing me to the new environment, and making me feel welcome,” said Justin, who joined the company in November 2015. “There is a terrific work ethic from the top down, and everybody works well as a team.”
Harry J. Brooks, Commercial State’s chairman and CEO, said he looks forward to all Justin will bring to the company.
“Justin has an impressive background, and he brings an exciting mix of fresh ideas to the table,” he said. “He has already shown himself to be a valuable addition to the team, and we know he will serve both our bank and our customers well.”
